Youth sports are a great way for kids to build self-esteem, interact with peers, and develop talents. By participating in recreational activities children also get to learn about teamwork and good sportsmanship.
The Cedar Valley SportsPlex offers a wide range of youth activities, including Adaptive Sports through Can Play. These inclusive programs support kids of all ages and abilities, providing a safe, positive, and accessible environment where participants can grow skills and confidence.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The City of Waterloo and the Cedar Valley Sportsplex offers a wide variety of youth sports activities. With the number of participants in each sport rising, it becomes difficult to find coaches for each team. In order to do so, it is often necessary to recruit parents of participants or other individuals in the community to coach. Our goal is to have volunteers who have significant experience in playing or coaching a particular sport, but that is not always possible with limited numbers. Volunteers are an instrumental factor in helping our programs and teams run efficiently. For more information visit our volunteer coaching information page: VOLUNTEER COACHING
